It is the first and largest international breakdancing competition for breakdance staffs. BOTY holds regional certifying tournaments in several countries such as Zimbabwe, Japan, Israel, Algeria, Indonesia, as well as the Balkans. Crews who win these tournaments go on to contend in the last championship in Montpellier, France. BOTY was featured in the independent documentary World B-Boy that shot five dancing staffs educating for the 2005 championship. The most common function of breakdance music exists in musical breaks, or compilations developed from samples taken from various tunes which are then knotted and chained together by the DJ.
