In 1979, a group of concerned citizens decided to start an ADEGA delegation in Ourense. The first meeting was held at the winery's cellar in the 19th century. This group continued to grow and was reorganized in 2003. Today, ADEGA Ourense produces high-quality wines with traditional grapes and traditional winemaking methods. In 2004, a second Ourense branch opened in the town of Alcobendas.
